Professor Manuel Iori

Manuel Iori is a Full Professor in Operations Research at the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). His research activity concerns the study and development of mathematical models and algorithms for combinatorial optimization, with a focus on logistics, production and scheduling. He collaborates with several companies for the optimization of real-world problems, by also designing decision support systems. Manuel is currently a member of CIRRELT – Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche sur les Reseaux d’Entreprise, la Logistique et le Transport (Canada), AIRI – Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Center (Italy), and AIRO –Italian Association of Operations Research. He is an author of more than 100 papers in international journals and volumes.
Dr Anna-Lena Sachs

Anna-Lena Sachs is a Lecturer in Predictive Analytics at Lancaster University. Her research focuses on inventory management including the intersection to forecasting and behavioural operations management. With her research, she has informed the practices at companies in different industries such as retailing, transportation and health care.
She developed several quantitative models allowing decision makers making better inventory decisions. In field experiments and conducts laboratory she analyses what type of decision support is useful in practice and how human decision makers actually behave.
Professor Juergen Branke

Juergen is a Professor of Operational Research and Systems at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick, UK. His main research interests are optimisation under uncertainty (including simulation-based optimisation and optimisation in dynamically changenvironments) and multi-objective optimisation, mostly using metaheuristics and Bayesian optimisation. He has worked in various application areas, including logistics, scheduling, engineering, and biopharmaceutics. Prof. Branke is Editor of ACM Transactions on Evolutionary Learning and Optimization, Area Editor of the Journal of Heuristics and the Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis. Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation and the Evolutionary Computation journal.
