Dr Felipe Atenas

Dr Felipe Atenas is a Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne, as part of the Australian Research Council funded research program “Distributed Optimisation without Central Coordination”, funded under the Discovery Program. They received their PhD from the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Scientific Computing (IMECC) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Brazil), under the supervision of Dr Claudia Sagastizábal. Their thesis was titled “Proximal decomposition methods for optimization problems with structure”.
