Vishmi Fernando

Vishmi is a PhD student in Mathematical Sciences at RMIT University. Her research interests lie in Optimisation and Operations Research, focusing on vehicle routing problems. Currently, she is working on a nurse routing and scheduling problem for chemotherapy and other infusion treatments occurring periodically to be delivered at home. In this work, she explores how the problem can be formulated as a Mixed Integer Linear Program and develops solution algorithms to solve it in a timely manner. She is supervised by  Assoc. Professor Melih Ozlen and Dr. Sona Taheri.
