Chenghao Huang

Chenghao’s project titled “Grid Safety-Aware AI-Driven Virtual Power Plant Operation”.
This project is developed from the perspective of a grid safety-aware operator/coordinator of EV-based virtual power plants, addressing the broader context of rapid EV and distributed energy integration, limited network visibility, and growing operational uncertainty, with the goal of optimizing the coordinated operation of multiple EV charging stations while ensuring distribution-grid voltage safety and EV charging demand satisfaction, primarily through AI-driven multi-agent reinforcement learning, spatiotemporal graph modeling, Lagrangian constraint handling, and safety shielding mechanisms.
He is supervised by Dr. Hao Wang and Dr. Teresa Wang from the Faculty of IT, Monash University.
