Dr Lindon Roberts is a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Sydney. He holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and was previously an MSI Fellow at the Mathematical Sciences Institute, Australian National University. His research interests span the development, analysis and implementation of algorithms for numerical optimisation, particularly nonconvex and derivative-free optimisation, and applications in areas such as climate, image analysis and data science.
