Behzad is a PhD student in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Prof. Michale Kirley and Dr. Mario Andrés Muñoz. He was a university lecturer before commencing his PhD. His research interests include Statistical Learning, Evolutionary Computation, and Optimization.
Behzad’s research focuses on Bilevel Optimization where he aims to incorporate Machine Learning into Evolutionary Computation to accelerate the optimization process.
